What Is an OGUK Medical Examination?
An OGUK medical examination is a comprehensive fitness-to-work assessment required for personnel working on offshore oil and gas installations. The examination follows standards set by OEUK (formerly Oil and Gas UK) and is internationally recognised across the energy sector.
The OGUK certificate confirms that a worker is medically fit to work in remote offshore environments where access to medical facilities is limited. The certificate is valid for 2 years for workers under 50, and 1 year for workers aged 50 and above.
