What Occupational Health Services Do You Offer?
We provide DOSH medical surveillance, pre-employment medical assessments, OGUK offshore medical examinations, marine medical examinations (Jabatan Laut Malaysia), JPJ GDL/PSV driver medical assessments, drug and alcohol testing, audiometry, spirometry, health screening programs, FOMEMA examinations, and workplace vaccinations.
What Should I Bring To My Appointment?
Please bring your MyKad or passport, any previous medical records or reports, your employer's referral letter (if applicable), and your existing medical certificate for renewals (OGUK, Marine, or JPJ). For FOMEMA appointments, bring your work permit documentation.
Do You Provide On-Site Medical Services For Companies?

How Long Does A Medical Examination Take?
Most individual examinations take 30-60 minutes. OGUK and marine medical exams may take up to 90 minutes depending on the tests required. For corporate group bookings, we provide a time estimate based on the number of employees and tests needed.
Is Dr. Kavilashini A Certified Occupational Health Doctor?
Dr. Kavilashini Selvarajah holds an MSc in Occupational Health from UKM, is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO), an OGUK Approved Medical Examiner, and an Approved Marine Medical Examiner listed with Jabatan Laut Malaysia. She is qualified to conduct all DOSH-required medical examinations.

How Quickly Will I Receive My Medical Results?
Most results are available within 1-3 working days. Some tests requiring external laboratory processing may take up to 5 working days. OGUK certificates and marine medical certificates are issued upon completion of the examination.
What Is Medical Surveillance And Does My Company Need It?
Medical surveillance is a regulatory requirement under DOSH for companies whose employees are exposed to scheduled chemicals, excessive noise, or other occupational health risks. Can I Get An OGUK Or Marine Medical Exam At Your Clinic?
Yes. Dr. Kavilashini is an OGUK Approved Medical Examiner and an Approved Marine Medical Examiner recognised by Jabatan Laut Malaysia. We conduct both examinations at our Shah Alam clinic. Appointments can be booked the same week, subject to availability.

What Is A Marine Medical Examination Under Jabatan Laut Malaysia?

It is required under the Merchant Shipping Ordinance and must be conducted by an Approved Marine Medical Examiner recognised by Jabatan Laut Malaysia. The certificate is typically valid for 2 years.
Who Can Conduct Marine Medical Examinations In Malaysia?

What Is The Difference Between OGUK And PETRONAS Offshore Medical?
OGUK medical examinations follow Oil and Gas UK (now OEUK) guidelines and are accepted internationally for offshore work. PETRONAS offshore medicals follow PETRONAS-specific requirements for operations on PETRONAS platforms. Both assess fitness for offshore duties but have different protocols and forms. Can I Do An Offshore Medical Exam Without An Employer Referral?
Yes. Individual offshore workers, freelance contractors, and self-employed personnel can book OGUK and marine medical examinations directly without a company referral. This is common for workers renewing certificates between contracts.
What Is DOSH Medical Surveillance And Who Needs It?
DOSH medical surveillance is a mandatory health monitoring program for employees exposed to scheduled chemicals, excessive noise, or other occupational hazards as defined under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and USECHH Regulations 2000.
